Transform your truck or SUV into a snow-clearing beast with the Meyer Home Plow. Thanks to the plow's Quick-Link mounting hardware, you'll have this plow out of the box and onto your truck pushing snow in no time.

The Meyer Home Plow comes in three styles: HomePlow Basic, Pre-Assembled HomePlow, and Full-Powered HomePlow. Meyer's Auto Angle technology self-adjusts to push built-up snow to the side and the blade's vertical positioning can be adjusted via the wireless key fob controller. The HomePlow Basic arrives with some assembly required. This basic model comes unassembled with an electric lift control. The Pre-Assembled Home Plow also includes the electric control, but arrives full-assembled right out of the box. Lastly, the Full-Powered HomePlow functions more like a commercial plow: the hydraulic lift allows the driver to adjust the blade up and down, as well as side-to-side. All models feature the same rugged, all-steel construction and require a 2" receiver hitch.

A 10 to 13 inch distance is needed between the ground and your receiver hitch. If your truck or SUV is too tall or too short to support this, you can add a Drop/Rise adapter from the various available Meyer Home Plow Accessories.

The Meyer Home Plow's 14-gauge steel is coated with a Dura Slick powder-coat that prevents rust and corrosion. All Meyer Hydraulic systems are sealed and protected from the elements. Backed by a 1-Year Warranty.

What's the difference between each of the models?

The Meyer Home Plow comes in 3 styles: HomePlow Basic, Pre-Assembled HomePlow, and the Full-Powered HomePlow.

The HomePlow basic arrive unassembled, with electric controls. Its auto-angling blade is engineered to automatically find the best position by reacting to snow resistance.
The Pre-Assembled HomePlow features the same self-adjusting technology and is powered by the same electric lift. It features a 6'8" blade and comes with wired or wireless controllers.
The Full-Powered HomePlow operates similarly to a commercial plow. The hydraulic lift controls up and down motion as well as side-to-side movement via the wired controller. This model comes in two plow widths: 6'8" or 7'5".

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PLOW I bought this plow for a 98 Jeep Cherokee we have on the property. It shipped quickly (9/21) and I had it installed in roughly an hour, and it worked exactly as it should upon installation. I removed the plow from the jeep, reinstalled the rolling wheels and put the plow inside the garage, out of the weather, and waited for the snow to fly. Flash forward to about two weeks ago, 12/21, there was snow in the forecast. I reinstalled the plow, plugged it in, and found that it would not operate. Every time I hit any button on the controller from the cab, the motor unit enclosed in the plow would short out and some how shut my controller off. It was shorting out, but not kicking the in line fuse. I took a voltage meter, and had 12V everywhere I should until I used the controller, at which point, It would short out the motor on the plow itself and my voltage would go from 12V to roughly 2V. I called Meyers but I was unable to actually contact a human. I spoke with my local Meyers dealer, and was told that we would not warranty the plow as he refuses to carry the "Home Plow". He described it as a piece of you know what, and wants nothing to do with them. Do not buy this plow. Spend the money and get a real plow, or at the very least buy it in person so you have someone to talk to when it breaks.

Very impressed with the quality and function of the plow. easy install of the actual meyer product. the only issue I had was that it didnt come with the plow shoes or mounts, for the price it should have came with them I feel. Very unhappy with the Curt receiver mount.

Once it's unpacked, and you figure out how it lines up, it takes less than 2 minutes to hook up. I haven't used it yet, but the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for performance was: It squeaked and was noisy as I angled it left to right purging the hydraulic system. I though it should have been better lubricated. Everything seems to work fine. It's mounted on a 2005 GMC, Envoy, SLT. The lights on the vehicle should work fine. And I should be able to move around the local area using the headlights as well.

I chose the full powered 6'8" as I wanted the function of a commercial grade with the ease of a home plow. Plow was delivered fast right to my door, well packaged. The hardest part of the install was running the wired controller through the firewall once that was done the plow was un-crated me and my 16yo son put the wheels down and put it on the driveway. From that point forward its just a simple slide the hitch into the receiver, put the pin in and plug it in. Hydraulics are quick to respond and worked flawlessly. Seems like it should stand up to a New England winter being it is a steel blade and not one of those "plastic" type. I am very interested to try it out but with the weather as hot as it still is It may be a while.
